When does a sea breeze typically occur?

A sea breeze typically occurs during the day when the land is warmer than the water. This phenomenon is due to the differential heating of land and water surfaces. During daytime, the sun heats up the land much more quickly than it does the water. As the air above the land heats up, it becomes less dense and rises, creating a low-pressure area. In contrast, the cooler, denser air over the water remains at a higher pressure. As a result, the cooler air from over the water moves in to replace the rising warm air over the land, creating a sea breeze.
